Dubbed as the Egyptian Lionel Messi, Egypt and Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah revealed that he was in talks with Man United manager Jose Mourinho, according to reports.
Salah joined Chelsea when Mourinho was in Charge of the Blues in the January of 2014 from Swiss side FC Basel but his spell at Stamford Bridge was a forgettable one as he did not impress the Portuguese tactician.
He was sent on loan to the Seria A the following season, and after another loan spell with Roma, they made his deal permanent. The 25-year-old star was signed by the Reds last summer and he seem to have found his rythm and he’s currently the biggest threat to Premier League defenders.
Salah has scored 28 goals from 34 appearances across all competitions this season and it is looking as though no one can stop him this term.
Salah revealed that he spoke with his former boss after Man United game against Liverpool earlier in the season.
“We talked at Chelsea when I first came back from the loan spell at Fiorentina,’ Salah told FourFourTwo magazine.
‘We also spoke after the match against Manchester United this season and have a good relationship. We didn’t talk much , but it was OK.
‘Three years ago I didn’t play much, but since day one back in England I wanted to show what I can do. I think I’m doing well.’
The game ended in a draw at Anfield and Mourinho lavished so much plaudit on the star.
I bet Jose Mourinho would want to have Salah in his team given the barnstorming form that the Egyptian is displaying. Despite playing from the flanks, Salah is competing with Harry Kane for the Golden boot of the League.
