Lazio midfielder Milinkovic-Savic could fail to move out of Stadio Olimpico in the summer despite interests from a host of European clubs as the Le Aquile won’t sanction his move unless his suitors are ready to pay €300m for his signature.
Manchester United have been chasing the Serbian midfielder since last summer, but they have been unable to lure him to Old Trafford. Mourinho was inches away from completing a move for the midfielder during last transfer window. However, his bid was rejected by Lazio on deadline day claiming the offer didn’t meet Milinkovic-Savic’s quality and value.
The player’s playing style at the middle of the pitch will no doubt fit into Mourinho’s style of play, but Lazio seem to be asking too much for the highly-rated midfielder.
According to reports via L’Equipe, Ligue 1 former Champions Paris Saint-German are set to move for the 23-year-old Serbian international who has been described as the “Serbian Pogba.”
Milinkovic-Savic has been in brilliant form throughout this season and his performance hasn’t gone unnoticed by scouts and coaches across the world as there are many clubs who are set to compete for his signature in the next transfer period.
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic was in action in yesterday’s 5-4 defeat to AC Milan in the semi-final of the Copa Italian competition.
