After enduring a relatively poor start to life in Italy, Portugal and AC Milan striker Andre Silva looks set to stay at the San Siro, despite reports linking him with a move away from the club. Having proved his mettle with the national team and also the Europa league, the versatile forward joined AC Milan but has since struggled in front of goal. Despite that, AC Milan have come public to refute all rumours of sending him out on loan to rediscover his scoring touch.
Speculations revealed that Arsenal, AS Monaco and also Barcelona are interested in his services, with Arsenal reportedly trying to bring him in during the January winter transfer window. However, his club insist that he is neither up for sale nor available for a loan move.
As per Calciomercato correspondent Fabrizio Romano, all reports linking the player with a move away from the club are totally false. Romano confirmed that the club have already informed the player’s representatives of their continued faith in him and that they would not part with him when the next transfer window opens.
The Italian giants also believe that the player has the potential to develop into one of the club’s legends in the near future; hence, they are willing to put faith in him and give him opportunities.
Gomes’ agent, Jorge Mendes is reportedly satisfied with the development, and the club are almost certain that the player will soon begin to repay the faith shown him.
