Chelsea are reportedly set to make an eye-catching offer for Madrid youngster Marcos Asensio this summer as the Blues hope to end their frustrating stats in front of goal ahead of next season. The 22-year-old Spanish striker has being one of Chelsea’s prime targets during the previous transfer market but they failed to acquire his service due to Madrid’s unwillingness to partway with the player.
Asensio 22, has failed to win Zidane’s trust despite his consistent performances for the European Champions and he could be heading out of Santiago Bernabeu to a club where he would be given much time to display his qualities.
According to Spanish news outlet Don Balon, Antonio Conte is hoping to bring the player to Stamford Bridge and the Blues have offered £132m for his signature this summer.
The report also suggest that the West London Club are hoping to exploit Morata’s friendship with the youngster in convincing him to switch to the Premier league Champions next summer. Asensio has scored eight goals with five assists in all competitions for the Los Blancos so far this season.
Chelsea may not be the only Club in the chase for the player. Manchester United have been linked and who knows? Jose Mourinho may come staging a bidding war for the highly rated star.
