Gremio midfielder Arthur who almost joined Barcelona during the last summer transfer window is being tracked by Manchester United and Chelsea, claims reports.
The Red Devils have been monitoring the youngster immediately after his proposed move to Camp Nou failed to materialize. José Mourinho is still keen on adding the Brazilian international youngster to his squad, though it might not be in the ongoing transfer market.
Chelsea is another club who have shown interest in the youngster’s quality and style of play. The West London club who are known for their little faith in young players could be beaten to the player’s signature by their bitter rivals Manchester United.
Conte has been impressed with the 21-year-old’s performance for the Brazilian club Gremio and Brazil’s U20 team.
Barcelona are yet to give up in their pursuit of the player despite signing Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool for £142million. The Catalans also confirmed the signing of Colombian defender Yerri Mina from Brazilian side Palmerias for €11.8 million last night.
They are reportedly going to offload eight players to avoid breaking FIFA transfer rules and also to create space for Arthur in the team when he finally arrives Camp Nou. The Catalan club must be happy with their dealings in January while United and Chelsea are yet to name a big signing this winter.
He is valued at £35m according to the Report.
