Chelsea have agreed a deal with Danish Superliga side AC Horsen for the transfer of Matej Delac, that’s according to report.
The 25-year-old Croatian goalkeeper joined Chelsea in the summer of 2010 after he impressed with Inter Zapresic. Before his signing, the Blues scouts had watched the shot-stopper closely for up to five months and they were impressed with his heroics in-between the sticks.
Following the departure of John Terry from Chelsea last summer, Delac became the longest serving player for the Blues. Ironically, he has never featured in the first team of the club hitherto.
The player was unable to secure his work permit and he has been sent on loan to nine different clubs and he has never been registered in Chelsea’s Premier League team of the season.
The player’s contract will end at the end of this season and he will join Horsen as a free agent next season, claims OTS.
Chelsea handed contracts extension to quite a junk of their players before sending them on loan spells last season. Most of the Blues’ youngsters never make it to the first team as their manager mostly prefer experienced footballers.
