Carrick benched, Rooney starts in probable Man United 4-2-3-1 line-up vs Swansea

With just five matches left to bring the Premier League to a wrap, Man United have the chance to put pressure on Man City  who play later away at Middlesbrough.

We play Swansea who are seated in the relegation zone of the table. On paper, we should come-off the game with the maximum points at Old Trafford but as it is with clubs who are looking to remain in the EPL, they will give us a run for our money and so, the team must be switched on for 90mins.

Ahead of the game, Mourinho delivered his team news and revealed that Juan Mata is the latest returnee after the Spaniard missed eight matches through injury. Mata will provide a creative and potent option for Mourinho in the attack.

Marouane Fellaini picked up a Red Card in the game against Manchester City, in his absence, Mourinho has called up 20-year-old Reserves midfielder Scott McTominay to join with the senior team but he’s more likely to start from the bench.

United are currently limited in the defense as non of the injured centre backs have returned from injuries. The same back four that starred against Man City would be lined up.

With Pogba still out injured, Rooney is most likely to start today along Ander Herrera in the middle of the pack. Without much ado, this is how Man United may line-up against Swansea.
