Antonio Conte has mainly utilized a first 11 or two substitutions for the most part of this campaign, which has left so much to cheer about his key players  that have remained injury-free.

According to the Evening Standard, Chelsea have been dealt a huge injury scare following the re-occurrence of an ankle injury to goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

The former Atletico Madrid shot-stopper sustained an ankle injury while on a sponsored photoshoot session with NBA last month.  He was sidelined for the Blues’ crunch tie against Man United because of the injury.

The report now claims that he picked up the niggling injury in Chelsea’s win over the Tofees last weekend but was brave enough to go through the game. He is willing to continue till the end of this season despite the discomfort claims the report.

Chelsea have a run-in that starts with Middlesbrough in the Premier League this weekend. The Belgian stalwart is expected to have rested his injured ankle enough for the game.

Chelsea are four points ahead of Tottenham on the Premier League log with four games remaining to bring the League to a wrap. The Blues cannot afford to drop any more points as they have been in the lead since last year.

Conte is in the running for a double. Chelsea will play Arsenal in the FA Cup final in May.
