Former Tottenham Hotspur player, Les Ferdinand has predicted who is likely to win the first North London derby clash between Tottenham and Arsenal on Saturday.
Les Ferdinand believes the match will be a very tight one, but saysTottenham have an upper edge over Arsenal base on current form of both clubs.
“I think you’d have to make Spurs favourites at the moment,” he said.
Arsenal haven’t lived up to expectations after 11 mmatches in the Premier League this season. They currently occupy the sixth position in the Premier League table.
Tottenham, contrary to Arsenal, are in the best form in the club’s history. After 11 round of matches, they stay in the third position. The Gunners ended in fifth spot on the league table while Tottenham ended in second spot ahead of Arsenal for the first time and the Lilywhites are still looking better.
Tottenham have already qualified to the next round of UEFA Champions league after defeating Real Madrid at the Wembley stadium in England.
According to Les, sometimes form doesn’t count in a derby match, all you need to do is to remain focused as a team.
The race for the title will be electrifying as all the top four clubs have all it takes to compete for the glory.
Manchester City are currently unstoppable after winning 10 matches and drew just a single match.
50-year-old Ferdinand is a retired footballer, he played for Leicester City, West Ham and Bolton Wanderers during his active days
