Napoli are considering moving for Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere in January, per reports.
Jack Wilshere, who made his first start of the season for Arsenal against West Ham last week Wednesday is set to leave the Emirates stadium due to lack of playing time.
Sevilla were the first to show interest in the England player – they are now joined by Napoli who according to the Mirror, are set to pay £13.2million for the England international.
It was reported last month that Wilshere hopes to be in England’s world cup squad. Therefore, he wants to be a regular starter for his club in order to convince the Three Lion’s coach, Gareth Southgate that he deserves a place in his list.
Arsene Wenger has been rotating his squad since the beginning of December as a result of the busy Christmas schedule. Jack Wilshere and Olivier Giroud who have constantly been used from the substitute bench have been in Arsene Wenger’s starting lineup for two consecutive matches.
Jack Wilshere’s contract with Arsenal will expire at the end of the season. According to him, he won’t extend his contract if he won’t be regularly used by the French manager. He could leave Arsenal as a free agent, but Arsene Wenger will want to convince him to a sign a new contract before the end of the January transfer market or he will sell him in case he fails to convince the player.
The North London club occupy the fifth position, thanks to a 1-0 win against Newcastle last weekend.
