Arsenal receive huge boost to sign £100m-rated Liverpool target

This time, Arsenal have another opportunity to get their man Thomas Lemar after Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev revealed that they are now willing and open to selling the star, this is according to report.

Arsenal tried to sign the 22-year-old forward on transfer deadline day of last year but despite making a £90million offer for he French forward, the Ligue 1 holders refused to sell. It was recorded that they wanted the excess of £100m to sell him.

Following Arsenal’s failure sign the attacker, Liverpool signaled interest in  the star in the January transfer window as they wanted to sign him as a replacement for Philippe Coutinho but all the efforts of the Reds ended on the rocks.

There are speculations that the star players wants to ply his trade away from the French League, with the Premier League tipped to be his next most probable footballing destination.

Vasilyev spoke to Telefoot and he said: ‘Good luck to those who want him.’

Lemar has failed to replicate the same form of last season that earned him so much plaudits – he has managed to score 2 goals and provided eight assists in 25 League games for Monaco.

Lemar can play in any of the flanks or as an attacking midfielder.

Arsenal’s struggles are not only on the pitch, the club are often unable to sign their targets in the transfer window – Arsene Wenger has in the time past, confirms his interest in a chunk of world class players including N’golo Kante, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Cristiano Ronaldo and the likes.
