Former Barcelona coach Luis Enrique is set to return to football after resting for a season. The Spanish manager who had a successful career during his time at Camp Nou is reportedly ready to return back to coaching, but this time as a Premier League coach.
Chelsea could be his next destination as the Blues are reportedly ready to show Antonio Conte the exit door by the end of the season which will, therefore, give room for the 46-year-old manager to set in.
According to Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, Chelsea have contacted Enrique over the possibility of bringing him to the West London club in the summer, but the manager hasn’t made any comment on the Blues offer.
Chelsea might also face intense competition from Arsenal for the manager’s services. The Gunners are also monitoring the manager as Arsene Wenger is likely to leave in the summer after being unable to win the League since 2004.
The Gunners faithfuls are not happy with the Frenchman due to his lack of trophies, and they will be hoping they get Enrique who won many trophies with Barcelona including the Champions League, La Liga, Spanish Super Cup and Copa Del Rey.
Paris Saint-German are reportedly in the race for the manager’s services, but they might be unable to get him as Mundo Deportivo revealed that Chelsea are in pole position.
