Arsenal enter race to sign South-American Chelsea prime target

It was earlier reported during this week that Lucas Moura might be on his way to Chelsea.

Reports coming from Arsenal have it that Arsene Wenger is ready to battle Chelsea for the player’s signature.

It’s all but confirmed that the Brazilian will be leaving PSG in the next transfer window after acquiring the French citizenship documents.

He rejected some offers from different clubs in Europe among them Monaco and Sporting Lisbon due to his love for the English Premier league and he hopes to team up with a top four team in January to enhance his chances of playing in the UEFA Champions league.

He’s currently not having a good time at the club as the purchase of top players such as his countryman, Neymar and France international, Kylian Mbappe is limiting his chances of playing regular football for the club.

The Brazilian right winger is reportedly needed by Wenger so as to supply lots of crosses from the flanks to Alexandre Lacazette and Oliver Giroud. He is also a good replacement for Alexis Sanchez according to Arsene Wenger’s opinion.

Manchester United and Liverpool are also monitoring the player’s situation at PSG.

The 25-year-old winger is valued at £30m by PSG but the price might be cut down by interested club due to his bench role at the club.
