Arsenal came-off their North London derby against Tottenham with a resounding victory but the Gunners have an eye in the transfer window. Reports have indicated that Chelsea and Liverpool have been joined by Arsenal in the race to sign Shakhtar Donetsk attacker Bernard.
Bernard has been a consistent figure for Borrussia Dortmund since his joined the side in 2013 but he has been exceptional this season. He has stalled over a new deal with the Ukrainian side and his current deal will expire at the end of this season.
The winger has been linked with a return to his country club Palmeiras but he wants to continue playing his trade in Europe, reports UOL Sport.
His representative has been contacted by Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea over a possible move and he could leave Shaktar as early as the January transfer window. The 25-year will be available for free next summer but the Premier league clubs may have to make their offers in January in a bid to win the race for his signature.
Arsenal may lose Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil in January and this will force them into the market to reinforce their squad. Conte has been unsatisfied with the strength of his squad and he wants to add options in his final third.
Meanwhile, Barcelona are still weighing a move for Philippe Coutinho and if he leaves in January, they will have to replace him.
Reports claim, he will be available for €13m (£11.5) .
