So many pundits have claimed that the recent Arsenal decline started when Santi Cazorla picked up an injury in the October of 2016. Until his injury, the diminutive Spaniard orchestrated play from the middle of the pack for Arsenal as the pivot but even though he will return to the pitch next year, the Gunners have begun preparation for life after him.
Arsenal have been linked with a move for several creative midfielders in the stead of Cazorla and the recent player to be linked with a move is Real Madrid’s rising star Dani Ceballos, this is according to reports.
Ceballos joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2017 from Real Betis but he has failed to imposed himself in the team of Los Blancos. He’s featured in only nine La Liga games with seven of those coming from the substitute bench.
The Spaniard is highly technical, blessed with vision and his ability to dissect defenses with his passes has seen him attract interest from various clubs. Juventus and Liverpool are heavily linked with a move for the star but Arsenal are front-runners for his signature, according to Spanish tabloid El Confidencial.
Arsenal scouted the midfielder during his time at Real Betis and they are considering a move for him to help him end his miserable spell at the Santiago Bernabeu. However, he may not break into the first team of Arsenal unless Jack Wilshere decides to quit the North London Club.
According to transfermarkt, the youngster is valued at £10.80m, which is a paltry sum considering the inflated nature of the transfer window.
