Arsenal are currently in negotiations with the representatives of Aaron Ramsey over extending the player’s contract, according to reports.
Ramsey is in the final 18 months of his current contract with Arsenal but the Club is looking to avoid the same delay that saw Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil stalled over new deals.
Arsenal begun talks with Ramsey over a new deal but no agreement is yet in place. However, Arsenal are hopeful that they will come to an amicable agreement with the Wales international.
The new deal offered to Mesut Ozil that sees him earn a whopping £350,000-per-week is said to be causing difficulties as other players would want payrise in that manner but Arsene Wenger has denied it and claimed that the splurge in contracts would not be a barrier to any player accepting a new deal.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitryan are also close the £200,000-per-week margin and this is said, will force the Gunners to amend their wage structure and Ramsey will be the next beneficiary.
Ramsey, 27, currently smiles to the bank for £110,000-per-week, but he expects a significant pay rise as one of the stars of the team.
Since joining Arsenal from Cardiff in the summer of 2008, Ramsey has remained one of Arsene Wenger’s favourites and it will be easy for the French man to sanction a deal for him.
