Chelsea Manager Antonio Conte has been given a huge boost in his mission to sign Brazilian defender Alex Sandro from Juventus in January.
According to The Telegraph, Chelsea are the favourites to secure the player’s services when the transfer window opens in January, amid interests from other clubs.
The Telegraph further reported that the 26-year-old Left-back is unhappy at Juventus and he’s ready to move out of the club in January. Recently, Juventus CEO Beppe Morata also admitted that Alex Sandro could be moving out of the club in the near future.
After bringing Davide Zappacosta to the West London club to complement Victor Moses at the right-back during the summer transfer window, Conte is ready to add Sandro to his squad to complement Marcos Alonso at the left-back position.
Alex Sandro who joined the Italian Serie A champions Juventus for €26 million on a five-year contract in 2015, still has a contract with the club till 2020. He has featured in 58 matches with 6 goals since he joined the club.
Despite showing early interests in the player, Chelsea will have to battle Real Madrid for Alex Sandro’s signature. However, the Blues are ready to lose their Brazilian defender David Luiz following a clash with Italian boss Antonio Conte.
