Manchester United continued their winning streak over the weekend as they made it three wins on the trot against Leicester City to sit comfortably on the summit of the EPL log. Jose Mourinho’s team looks quite solid, which has raised doubts whether the club would make a fourth signing this summer.
However, it is looking like the Reds Devils will do without of the services of Andreas Pereira this season, as he is set to leave on a loan move to Spanish side Valencia.
It was previously reported that the Valencia chief Peter Lim jetted into England to broker a loan switch for Pereira. However, the deal never went through, as it was reported that Mourinho was not open to sanctioning another loan move for the creative midfielder.
Spanish source, Marca, are reporting that Lim has returned to Manchester and this time, Mourinho has finally come round the idea of seeing Pereira leave despite being on the final year of his current contract with Man United.
The report goes on to suggest that the deal will be announced in few hours and this claim has been corroborated by various news sources in England.
Pereira was sent on loan to season-long loan to Granada last term in a bid to accelerate his development, where he made 37 appearances and scored 5 goals for the Spanish side. Whilst it can be said that the aim of the loan move was fulfilled, his return to the Red Devils’ team has been met with stiff competition, with the likes of Ander Herrera and MoroauneFellaini ranking above him in the pecking order of midfielder at the club despite being playing second fiddle to the likes of Pogba and HenrikhMkhitaryan.
