Reports were rife on Tuesday that the Gunners were closing in on a £60m deal for French and Monaco attacker Nabil Fekir and if the deal is completed, the Gunners would have added creative quality to the side.
It is reported that the funds recouped from the imminent sale of contract rebels Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez would be used to sign the player in January.
Ozil has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United while Alex Sanchez has been linked with a move Manchester City.
We try to examine Arsenal line-up with probable new signing Nabil Fekir when Ozil and Sanchez eventually leaves in January.
Santi Cazorla is expected back in action in December – the diminutive midfielder will not just provide an option in midfield, he will play closest to the anchor man Granit Xhaka while Aaron Ramsey will play directly behind the striker.
Cazorla has the ability to retain possession in midfielder while offering threats creatively with his dissecting passes in attack.
Despite playing as a support striker for Monaco, Fekir has scored 11 goals and provided four assist in the French League. He could play on any of the wings or behind the striker. He is a good dribbler and passer, which will make him combine very well with Ramsey and Cazorla.
Arsene Wenger has played the 3-5-3 formation without much success this term. Albeit we lost to Man City but the 4-2-3-1 formation looked better because he had more creative players and created chances as well. With Nabil Fekir, Iwobi could be the other player on the flank and this is how we think Arsenal will look like.
