The January transfer window is now very much heated up as we see Manchester United battle arch City rivals Manchester City for the signature of Arsenal star forward Alexis Sanchez.
Sanchez has refused to extend his contract with Arsenal and it is believed that the Gunners will cash out on the star before the close of the window, with Manchester City thought to be in pole position for his signature. However, report according to the Express, claims that United have made a bid of £25million for the Chile forward.
While City have a long standing interest, it is believed that Sanchez will get regular or more game time with United as it is given that Marcus Rashford and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are experiencing a deep in form. Another attraction for Sanchez would the fact that the Red Devils are offering higher basic contract to him.
We take a swipe at how United could line-up with the star if he completes the move.
If the attack and midfield have doing as well as the defence, may United would have been competing with Man City. De Gea will remain the man in between the sticks and to shield him would be Valencia and the resurgent Luke Shaw in the right and left flank respectively. At the heart of defence would be Smalling and Lindelof.
Pogba and Matic will retain their place – albeit Pogba will play in a free role, roaming around the pitch. Sanchez could utilised behind striker but Lingard would be given the shot there.
Sanchez will retain the same position he has always played for Arsenal on the left flank, while Martial will flank him on the right. Lukaku will be the lead attack.
